Started in 1999 we have published a salary survey of NZ laboratory professionals every second year, the last being 2007.

The survey covers staff working in industry and private analytical and consulting laboratories across 8 levels of seniority from lab assistant with no qualifications up to Laboratory Managers.

It does not represent university or medical laboratories.

Graphs show historical trends in base salaries, fringe benefits, profit share in terms of averages, medians, upper and lower deciles and ranges.

Typical responses cover around 35 New Zealand laboratories representing around 400 staff.

No other survey is specifically tailored for people in analytical and consulting laboratories.
